SUPPORT
Plan-check support included on every package: we address structural plan-check comments related to our original scope for up to three review cycles at no additional charge. The Complex Project Structural Set adds a money-back guarantee — if we are unable to resolve a structural approval issue caused by our engineering within the agreed scope, we refund your fee for that package. Approval decisions rest with the jurisdiction.
Common Questions
Do you provide engineering or signed plans?
No. Structural Express is a drafting firm and does not offer or practice engineering in California. Engineering calculations, engineering judgments, and signed or sealed plan sets must be contracted directly between the client and an independent California-licensed Professional Engineer.
What files can you work from?
We can work from architectural backgrounds, sketches, field notes, redlines, PDFs, DWG files, Revit models, and design criteria supplied by your project team.
How fast will I receive my drafting deliverables?
Typical drafting packages deliver in 5–10 business days depending on scope and the completeness of the source information. Your proposal will include a firm schedule.
Can you coordinate with my architect or licensed engineer?
Yes. Our role is to support your project professionals by preparing and updating structural drafting documentation to their direction and review comments.
What if the building department sends comments?
Send us the marked-up sheets or written redlines from your architect or independently retained licensed engineer. We can incorporate drafting revisions within the agreed scope.
